At
Viking Auto Salvage we like to have a little bit of fun each month
by including a quiz with our monthly statement.
Each month a riddle, conundrum, puzzle, or trivia question is posed and a
prize offered to solve it.
Now, it isn't the first person to answer it correctly
that wins. What we do is to take all the correct answers and draw a
winner. We do this on the 15th of
each month. So, if you think you know the answer, write it down on the area
provided and send it in with your payment. We will announce the winner in the
next month's statement, as well as posting the correct answer here on our web
site.
To
all of you who participate, we would like to say "Thank You!"
for choosing us as your recycled parts provider.
APRIL
2008 STATEMENT ANSWER AND WINNER:
The winner: Dawn from B & M Auto Parts of
Waukesha, WI wins:
a
$50 gift card to Outback Steakhouse!
We asked you to identify what all these words have in
common:
Banana
Dresser
Grammar
Potato
Uneven
The technical term, as many of you correctly
identified, is “Palindrome”. If
you take the first letter off the front and put it onto the end, the word
spelled backwards is the same as when you started.
Kind of cool, don’t you think?
There were many more explanations as to what these
words have in common, some so convoluted as to defy explanation here.
But, since many of you were correct, and since we drew a winner, all we
can say is:
Thanks to all
who entered. Congratulations to Dawn
for winning. Those of you who
entered, but didn’t win, don’t forget to try again next month.
There’s a winner every month; it might
as well be you!
